Privacy policy

Your journey is personal.

Your pouch history belongs on your devices. Here is what Pouchlight stores, what is shared for purchases, and how you stay in control.

1. Your tracking data

Pouchlight is operated by Fritz Doebel. This policy covers the Pouchlight app and these support pages. You do not need a Pouchlight account to use the tracker.

The app stores your pouch logs, times, entered strength, triggers, notes, goals, starting pace, costs, currency, confirmed days, badges, and preferences locally. An optional name, personal motivation, replacement activity, and unfinished onboarding answers are also stored locally.

The iPhone app and its widgets use a shared local app container. If you use the companion Apple Watch app, your plan and entries transfer between your paired devices using Apple’s WatchConnectivity system. Watch logs can remain on the Watch while it is offline.

Pouchlight does not upload your pouch history, notes, or personal plan to a developer-operated tracking server or send them to RevenueCat. Optional check-in reminders are local notifications.

2. Subscriptions and purchase information

Pouchlight uses Apple’s in-app purchases and RevenueCat to check, deliver, and restore Plus access. When the app checks subscription availability or you purchase or restore, these services process purchase information and an app-generated anonymous user identifier. Relevant information can include product and transaction identifiers, purchase history, subscription status, and technical details such as app version, locale, and currency.

RevenueCat also provides subscription and purchase reporting. Pouchlight does not attach your local name, notes, or pouch history to that identifier, and does not receive your full payment-card details.

There is no advertising or behavioral analytics SDK in Pouchlight. Purchase reporting is separate from your personal tracking history. See RevenueCat’s privacy information, RevenueCat’s app privacy disclosures, and Apple’s App Store privacy information for their practices.

3. What you choose to share

Exporting history creates a CSV with your active log times, entered strengths, triggers, and notes. Sharing a milestone creates a badge image; it does not include your pouch history. You choose the destination through the system share sheet. The recipient or service then handles that copy under its own practices.

If you email support, your email address, message, and any attachments are processed to respond and troubleshoot. Please share only the information needed for your request.

4. Retention and erasure

Your tracking information stays in the app until you delete entries, erase all tracking data, or remove the app and its stored data. Deleting an individual log removes its personal content. A minimal entry identifier and deletion marker remain locally to prevent that entry from returning during Watch sync.

To erase your tracking history, goals, and onboarding answers, open You → Erase all tracking data. The app retains a reset marker so older device transfers cannot restore erased history.

The reset is sent to your paired Watch. An offline Watch keeps its local data until it receives that reset. Logs waiting to sync, including logs added on a Watch that has not yet received the reset, are discarded when it reconnects. Open Pouchlight on both devices to complete the reset.

Erasing tracking data does not cancel your subscription or automatically delete Apple’s or RevenueCat’s purchase records. Those records are handled separately for subscription operation, purchase reporting, and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us for help with purchase-data privacy requests. Support correspondence is kept as needed to address the request and applicable recordkeeping obligations.

5. Device backups and exported copies

Apple device or iCloud backups may include app data depending on your device and backup settings. Pouchlight does not operate its own cloud history backup. Erasing data in the app does not remove older backups, files you exported, or copies you shared. Manage those copies through the relevant device settings, storage service, or recipient.

Restoring a device backup may restore the app data contained in that backup. You can erase restored tracking data again from the app.

6. These support pages

These pages use no analytics cookies, advertising pixels, external font requests, or tracking scripts. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as an IP address and requested page, to deliver and protect the website. Following an external link or sending an email brings you to the relevant service’s own privacy practices.

7. Your choices and contact

You can review and edit logs, export a CSV, change notification permission in iPhone Settings, and erase tracking data in the app. Manage or cancel subscriptions separately through your Apple Account.

For questions or requests about your personal information, contact pouch@brainsober.app. Because pouch history stays on your devices, we cannot retrieve it for you unless you choose to share it. We may need relevant purchase information to locate a subscription-related record.

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. Pouchlight is a self-tracking and planning tool; it does not diagnose, treat, or promise health outcomes.
